BIO
Ignacyo Matynia is first and foremost a proud Polish immigrant who’s multicultural roots exposed him to a plethora of unique experiences and point of views; embodying a lifestyle that focuses primarily on empathy, understanding and growth.
Ignacyo is a classically trained New York actor whose television work includes a series regular role in A Good Cop, along with guest-starring appearances on Law & Order: SVU, Starz’s Vida, Marvel’s Luke Cage, and multiple leading roles in network films for Hallmark and Lifetime.
His film work spans a wide range of genres — from the critically acclaimed faith-based feature Break Every Chain, to the XYZ-distributed found-footage horror Project MKHexe, and the sci-fi thriller One and the Same, among several others.
Most recently, Ignacyo stars as historical figure John Goodall in Medora, a period biopic set in 1883, opposite Robert Strange (The Lord of the Rings, Amazon Series). To prepare for the role, he spent several months mastering a Midwestern drawl, horseback riding, and gunslinging to bring authenticity to the character. The trailer for Medora is now available, with the film set for release in Spring 2026.
